Water Purifiers
 

Can anyone please give a basic introduction about water purifiers?

From what I understand, purifiers are supposed to be way stronger than filters.

I'm looking to give a purifier as a gift in a few weeks, and I'd like to know all the ins and outs, and what to look for and expect when purchasing, and also where to get the best deals.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
